Deeper Roots (ages 13-17)

$0.00$220.00

*COVID-19 really threw us for a loop.  Don’t worry! Our mentor-aged students will still have a chance to dig deeper into the study of our story. We now have a 12-week online class available for our high school students, featuring our history session and the study of two thought provoking texts (titles provided after enrollment).

We have full confidence in our mentor-aged students. They are prepared to study our story at a deeper level to establish even deeper roots. As they prepare for adulthood, this course will give them the freedom to ask tough questions, create and facilitate discussions and even apply knowledge to modern history. We encourage the mentors to wrestle with common misconceptions and to have critical and respectful discussion with their peers. Our goal is to help them to develop their own thoughts and convictions and to provide a platform where they know their voice matters and will be heard.

Content: This season, students will explore some of the original civilizations that began in Africa along with two text studies for critical discussion.

Meeting Day: Thursdays (Sept. 10, 2020 – Dec. 2, 2020 *w/Break week included)
Meeting Time: 11:30 AM (PST) – 12:45 PM (PST)
Price: $220 class fee (Book list provided upon registration)
*Books are not included and will need to be purchased separately, via Amazon or other book retail outlet.
